Save Money and Save Lives at Donor Alliance Event

Tomorrow at the Ale House in Grand Junction Donor Alliance will be celebrating National Donate Life Month by giving you discounts on food and drinks. Why is it so important to be an eye tissue and organ donor?

Across the nation more than 116,000 men, women and children are waiting for lifesaving organ transplants. Here in Colorado we have about 2,000 people waiting for these transplants.

It's super easy to become a eye, tissue or organ donor. All you have to do is request that you become a donor at the DMV when you get your drivers license. There is no cost to the donor or their family for organ, eye or tissue donations. All major religions see donations as a final act of love and generosity towards others.

KEKB will be broadcasting live from the Ale House this Wednesday (4/24) from 4-7pm. If you are already a organ, eye or tissue donor you will receive 20% off all food purchases. If you wear blue or green, the National Donate Life Month colors, you will also receive 20% off all food purchases. You will also have a chance, if you are not already a donor, to get signed up and help save lives here in Colorado.
