In the wake of all the flooding on the Front Range, The Salvation Army of Grand Junction is currently asking for money donations to help with long-term recovery efforts.

The Salvation Army uses 100% of disaster donations in support of disaster relief operations.

Individuals may also text GIVEHOPEIM to 80888 to donate $10 to The Salvation Army. A one-time donation of $10 will be added to your mobile phone bill or deducted from your prepaid balance. (Message and data rates may apply.)

Donations by mail may be designated “Colorado Floods” and sent to:

The Salvation Army

In-kind donations are not currently being accepted outside the disaster area. However, these gifts are vitally important to the local Salvation Army. To give items locally, visit www.SATruck.com or call 1-800-SA-TRUCK.

According to a news release sent Sunday, Salvation Army emergency disaster services personnel have provided first responders and evacuees of the Colorado floods with more than 10,000 meals, drinks and nutritional items in just 72 hours.

The Salvation Army is currently providing disaster relief in Boulder, Fort Collins, Longmont, and Jefferson County.

A Grand Junction unit for the Salvation Army has been assigned to Greeley, and traveled to the area over the weekend.

The Salvation Army is thanking everyone in advance in helping out in this time of need.
