The bacteria in the food causes bloody diarrhea, vomiting and stomach cramps. These symptoms usually show up after a few days and usually last no longer than a week. The CDC says, however, those symptoms can last longer.

So far only one person in Colorado has been hospitalized due to the salad but the company has said no other lots have shown evidence of E. coli after testing. The Centers for Disease Control are continuing to monitor and test the salads for any E. coli present.
