It’s been five years, but it’s BACK! The 30th annual ‘Ride The Rockies’ bike race is again being hosted by our own Grand Junction.

It all begins Sunday June 14, consisting of seven days of riding, 2,000 riders, 499 miles and topping out at 12,126 feet in elevation.

This epic ride takes riders through the most scenic areas of Colorado including the Colorado National Monument, Grand Mesa, Blue Mesa Reservoir, Crested Butte, Cottonwood Pass and so much more.

How does this affect you?

Starting Wednesday you’ll begin to see cones and signage popping up as race officials and volunteers prepare to mark the course around the Valley. Plus, you’ll see a lot of commotion on the CMU campus with campground check in and the entertainment that begins at noon.

Colorado Mesa University will act as the official headquarters of the event while offering indoor and outdoor camping for race teams and families.

Could you enter a grueling and challenging race like this?

Heck yes!

No way!
