I am always amazed at the sense of community on the Western Slope! This was never more evident than this week after Britton and I received calls from a family looking for two men that came to the aide of someone they love!

Yesterday 10/15 Britton got a call in studio from a mother, trying to track down the two men that saved her daughter after she wrecked her car in DeBeque Canyon on Sunday.

She asked Britton to announce on the air how thankful she was to these men for helping her daughter. After airing this Britton dedicated Sawyer Brown's "Thank God For You" to these unknown heroes.

Then this morning I received a call from another relative explaining her niece had fallen asleep on the East end of DeBeque Canyon Sunday as she was on her way home from Rifle and rolled her car. Apparently two men stopped, called 911, took care of her, called her mom and stayed until the ambulance arrived!

Her goal was to contact these men so she could thank them in person, and lo an behold one of the mens wives heard Britton's announcement yesterday and the woman's phone call today, so she had her husband who was one of the rescuers give us a call so we could unite them!

What an amazing community we live in!!!
