The economy is picking up and with that property values are on the rise.

According to the Mesa County Assessor's office, property values are increasing. Which is great news for the homeowner but your taxes will increase as well. The Mesa County Assessor's office will send out official letters on May 1st.

According to the officials at the Mesa County Assessor's office if you don't agree with the value of your property you have the right to file a protest. They must receive it by June 3rd. This will be the largest increase in over a decade.

Do you prefer renting or owning your own home? With a rental, you don't have to worry about fixing anything hopefully your landlord does that. These days it is almost better to rent than to won.
