Over 50 million people face hunger every day in American, and your postal carriers are seeking your help to "Stamp Out  Hunger". While everyone is encouraged to donate non-perishable food items, postal employees are also asking for volunteers to help collect and distribute the donations. Here are some ways in which you can help "Stamp Out Hunger."

On May 9, letter carriers across the nation will be collecting food donations for this annual campaign, the largest one-day food drive in the country. Everyone can participate by leaving non-perishable food items in their mailbox that day.

Local letter carriers are also seeking volunteers to help collect and distribute food donations to several Mesa Country locations. Receipts will be dispersed to various locations including the Food Pantry in Palisade, Catholic Outreach, Community Food Bank, and  Agape Food Basket in Fruita.

Did you know that letter carriers do not get paid for this day? That's right, they are donating their time and effort, too. Coming up May 9th, help feed the millions of Americans battling hunger, and volunteer to help "Stamp Out Hunger."
