Pet Adoption Numbers Rise In Grand Junction
These dogs are flying off the shelf. Better get one now before they run out.
Usually, these types of posts are practically begging people to stop in adopt a pet, but the crew at Roice-Hurst Humane Society are telling people 'thank you' for all the pet adoptions recently. Especially dogs.
The average stay for a dog is now only six days. In fact, Roice-Hurst has been so successful that they are now helping out other states by placing those dogs in homes here in the Grand Valley.
Anna Stout, Roice-Hurst Executive Director tells KREX News that it's a shelter's dream. That there are more people looking to adopt a dog than there are people giving dogs up.
But, that doesn't mean you shouldn't still stop in at Roice-Hurst. If you are looking to adopt a dog, they will do everything they can to help you out.
