The town of Palisade will open it's tent flaps to campers everywhere.

Tuesday night the Palisade town board said, an across the board, 'YES' to it's first ever campground.

The proposed vacation spot will begin groundbreaking in February, with hopes of the new facility being open for the Summer camping season. Reports are that it will be built east of town on River Road.

It looks to be a pretty big deal. The space will contain more than 90 camp sites, accommodating RV and tent campers. In addition, there will be rental cabins, suites, a pool and a hot tub.

This week has been a progressive one for Palisade. First, the marijuana ruling and now this. Even more reasons for tourists to visit this beautiful area.
