Deer Creek Valley Ranch is a true part of Colorado history. In 1862, the ranch was homesteaded by George S. Parmalee with a three-story barn. Throughout the years, Deer Creek Valley Ranch was utilized as a stagecoach stop between Denver and Fairplay until the original ranch house and stage office burned down in 1927.

Bad luck with fire struck again in 1988 when the 126-year-old barn went up in flames. Two decades later, owners Tim and Christian Marascuillo begin restoring the barn and turning Deer Creek Valley Ranch into a wedding venue. The two-year transformation and restoration of the barn was completed in 2011 and opened for the first wedding season in 2011.
