Orchard Mesa Shooting Victim Heads to Hospital While Possible Shooter Flees to Delta

The Mesa County Sheriff's Office along with other law enforcement agencies responded to a shooting in east Orchard Mesa Sunday afternoon (November 6).

The Mesa County Sheriff's Office says the shooting happened around 2 p.m. in the area of 32 Road and B 1/2 Road. Law enforcement pursued a vehicle towards Delta they believed a suspect was traveling in.

One person was transported to the hospital with a reported gunshot wound to the chest. The condition of that person is not available at this time.

At least one person believed to be involved in the shooting was arrested on 2100 Road near Delta after being pursued by law enforcement.

The Sheriff's Office says the shooting is an isolated incident and is collecting evidence and getting statements from witnesses and victims before releasing additional information about this crime.
