Operation Uplift on Thursday for Veterans in Grand Junction
Everyone knows that 2020 has had its share of challenges and the kind people at Western Region One Source is hosting an event to help Veterans who have struggled through this tough year. Operation Uplift is a free event being hosted for Veterans and will offer men's and women's clothing as well as hygiene items and other items.
The Western Region One Source is located at 481 28 Road and is where the event will take place this upcoming Thursday (October 15th) beginning at 9:00 a.m. and running until 1:00 p.m. This event is in partnership with American Legion Post 37, First Christian Church (GJ), VFW Post 3891, and the Western Region One Source.
There will be no donations accepted during this time so if you have something to donate please make sure that is done prior to the event taking place on Thursday.
This is a tremendous event being put together by many amazing organizations. I will admit I hadn't heard of the Wester Region One Source before this event but they seem to really be a great resource within the community. The goal at Western Region One Source is to be the trusted one source in Western Colorado for all veterans, military members, and their families seeking a connection with providers and resources.
Even if you aren't in need of any of the goods or services being offered it would be great if you could share this information for those who might be in need. It's tremendous to have these resources in our community, but even better when people take advantage of them.
