The United States of America has the Biggest Army in the world, literally. From 98-2010 there has been a rise in overweight soldiers. The Army is under a lot of pressure to cut some of its budget. If some soldiers don't cut the weight they could be cut themselves.

Obesity is now the leading cause of ineligibility for people who want to join the service. In 2010, 86,186 troops, or 5.3 percent of the force, received at least one clinical diagnosis as overweight or obese, according to the Armed Forces Health Surveillance Center. In the first 10 months of this year the Army has already kicked out 1,625 soldiers for being out of shape.

Since this has been going on, Commanders are analyzing their fitness programs and are weeding out those who they think are unfit to fight. My brother is in the Army and has to run every weekend and works out constantly. When he came back from Iraq he was a solid 245. How is it even possible for service men and women to be over weight?
