Now’s the Time to Participate in Grand Junction’s Annual Food Drive
This season spread the holiday cheer and help ensure every family in Western Colorado has food on the table. The crew here at the station will be hitting the streets to raise food and cash donations for the Community Food Bank of Grand Junction.
According to the Community Food Bank, "Our mission is to provide nutritious food to individuals and families in crisis." Donations stay local, going to families right here in the valley.
Carville's Auto Mart has stepped up to the plate to ensure the food bank is well stocked for the winter. When you donate food or cash at one of our on-site donation stops, Carville's will match your cash donations, up to $1,000.
Non-perishable food donations and cash donations can be dropped of at:
- LOKI - 445 Colorado Avenue
- Farmers Insurance at 555 North Avenue and 2518 Monument Road
- Townsquare Media Studios at 315 Kennedy Avenue
There is still one drop off event coming up this season:
- Saturday, December 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Safeway on Broadway
It seems 2016 is going to be the year to beat. Check out the results from last year.
This is your chance to help your hard-working friends and neighbors in Western Colorado through some tough times. To help further, Carville's will match your donations. Please make a point to visit one or all of our donation drive stops over the next few weeks.
