The city of Grand Junction is recognizing some of its most historic buildings.

Which building in Grand Junction do you think is the most historic?

The first one that was honored was the Schiesswohl building located at 560 Colorado Avenue downtown. It was Grand Junction's very first gas station. The building was built in 1908, by then, real estate agent Jacob Schiesswohl.

This effort is a part of a project to establish and recognize Grand Junction's most historic buildings. It has been spearheaded by the folks at the Museums of Western Colorado, Legends of the Grand Valley, the Historic Preservation Board and the city of Grand Junction itself.

Altogether 33 buildings will be honored. Which ones do you think should be on that list?
