Montrose Woman Gets 20 Years In Prison For Death Of Child
Julie Ann Hoff received her sentence of 20 years for her involvement in the beating death of 2-year-old Tobi Joan Doyle in 2016.
February 13, 2016, police responded to a call of an unresponsive child with a head injury. Huff was then arrested and charged with a felony count of child abuse resulting in death.
It was definitely an emotional day in court. Especially for the child's mother Chrystal Romero, who also happens to be Hoff's ex-girlfriend. While Hoff seemed to not express any sorrow or regret, Romero could not contain herself and at one time shouted to Hoff, "you deserve everything you (expletive) get, you piece of (expletive)."
As far as Hoff goes, she simply stated that she is ready to take the sentence and try to move on.
