Model Railroading In Colorado Fun For All Ages
If you are like me, you grew up loving trains.
The big ones, the small ones, the wind-up ones, it didn't matter, trains are trains. You see, I lived less than a quarter mile from a switch house, so my fascination started young.
So imagine my excitement when I heard about the train museum.
The Colorado Model Railroad Museum has over 5500 square feet of track and over 2500 trains to run on it. It took 30 hours to build and is indeed impressive. Located in Greeley, it's an inexpensive way to indulge your self if trains are your passion.
The Grand Valley Model Railroad Club in Grand Junction is a group of train enthusiasts who get together and enjoy all things train. Located at Cross Orchards, If you want to see a miniature of Grand Junction with trains running through it this is your place.
I could spend hours there, watching and enjoying memories long thought lost.
Get your inner engineer ready and head out to the Museum or stay local and check out the Grand Valley club. Either way, you know you're going to love it!.
All aboard.
