Mindy McCready Commits Suicide

According to the AP Mindy McCready's friends and family are confirming that the singer killed herself on Sunday afternoon.

McCready had suffered many set backs this year, the most recent being the cloud of suspicion she was under regarding the death of her boyfriend who she said killed himself.

Last week McCready was released from a 21-day inpatient evaluation for mental, drug and alcohol after she was found to competent and not abusing any substances.

According to authorities 37-year-old McCready was found with a self inflicted gun shot wound, along with her dog who she had shot prior to taking her own life, on the front porch of the Arkansas home she once shared with her late boyfriend, David Wilson in the same location he was discovered last month.

Her two sons, six-year-old Zander and 10-month-old Zayne, are currently in foster care. Zander's father is seeking full custody of the child. Wilson was the father of Zayne.
