Mesa County’s Top 10 DUI Over Achievers of 2015 [LIST]

The Mesa County Sheriff's Office reported a total of 233 DUI/DUID arrests in 2015. According to the Colorado State Patrol, during the same year, the number of alcohol-related crashes in Mesa County totaled 49. Here are the top ten highest recorded blood alcohol content levels of 2015.

Please keep in mind, in Colorado, the legal limit for drunk driving is a blood alcohol content of .08. To put this in perspective, according to the Mesa County Sheriff's Office, a 180-pound male can reach the level of .08 BAC after only four drinks. For this demonstration, a "drink" is calculated to be one of the following:

• One 1.5 ounce shot of hard liquor, or
• One 12 ounce glass of beer, or
• One 5-ounce glass of wine
