What is the latest on Mesa County's unemployment rate? Turns out, it's better than it was.

From KKCO News and reporter Tanni Deb, the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment has recently released it's latest findings on Mesa County's unemployment statistics.

The official report from the Department states that from January 2015 to January 2016 the unemployment rate in Mesa County dipped down to 3.2 per cent. That is down three tenths of a per cent and the lowest it's been in almost 15 years.

There have been several new businesses that have opened in the Grand Junction area in that time. The new City Market location on 12th and Patterson, The Warehouse Restaurant/Bar near Gold's Gym, the Sav-A-Lot store located at 2401 North Avenue, the all new Community Hospital among many others have produced hundreds of new jobs for Mesa County residents.
