New Unemployment Benefit System Rolled Out for State of Colorado
For most people, 2020 was a difficult year, whether it was health-related due to the pandemic or economic as many people lost their jobs due to the pandemic and uncertainty. So for many people, 2021 is a fresh start and that includes a new unemployment benefit system here in the state of Colorado.
According to KKCO, the new unemployment benefit system is called MyUI+ and will offer all services online. But, with these changes taking place so quickly any Colorado citizens that are applying for benefits need to do so as quickly as possible. The deadline for all applications is noon on Tuesday, January 5th. At that point, the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment will transition to their new system.
November of 2020 showed an unemployment percentage in Colorado at 6.4%, just under the U.S. average of 6.7%.
