The Mesa County Search and Rescue Ground Team is currently taking applications for new members. Do have what it takes?

If you are looking for a challenging yet rewarding opportunity, this may be it. The 2018 Mesa County Search and Rescue Ground Team will be assembling soon. If you want to be a part of it, you have until December 31 to fill-out and submit your application. It can be dropped off at Mesa County Sheriff's Office, emailed to (please put SARC Application in the subject line) or regular mailed to 215 Rice Street ATTN: Bernice. The SARC Team is made up of around 40 volunteers. They are on call 24/7 to help out any way they can in many different situations. They are called upon to deal with nearly 60 missions every year.

All SARC member will have to complete a PM Class, receive current CPR/Basic First aid certification, pass a knot test, pass weekly training and mission attendance, backcountry navigation test and a fitness hike.
