The Mesa County Search and Rescue Ground Team is currently taking applications for new members. Do have what it takes?

If you are looking for a challenging yet rewarding opportunity, this may be it. The 2018 Mesa County Search and Rescue Ground Team will be assembling soon. If you want to be a part of it, you have until December 31 to fill-out and submit your application. It can be dropped off at Mesa County Sheriff's Office, emailed to Bernice.Stogsdill@MesaCounty.us (please put SARC Application in the subject line) or regular mailed to 215 Rice Street ATTN: Bernice. The SARC Team is made up of around 40 volunteers. They are on call 24/7 to help out any way they can in many different situations. They are called upon to deal with nearly 60 missions every year.

All SARC member will have to complete a PM Class, receive current CPR/Basic First aid certification, pass a knot test, pass weekly training and mission attendance, backcountry navigation test and a fitness hike.
