What did we read last year? Mesa County Libraries recently published the 2020 Annual Report. According to that report, these were the most read books for Mesa County.
Even with the pandemic, 2020 was an excellent year for the Mesa County Libraries. According to the 2020 report, Ebook checkouts increased by 39%. On the flip side, though, checkouts and renewals were down 20%.
So, when it was all said and done, what did Mesa County cardholders read? It appears 2020 was a great year for authors like Jeff Kinney. His "Diary of Wimpy Kid" series grabbed the top two spots in the Kids Fiction category.
When it comes to Adult Fiction, C.J. Box landed twice in the top five. Murder mysteries seemed to be all the rage in 2020.
Here's a look at the top five Kids Fiction books and the top five Adult Fiction books checked out from Mesa County Libraries for the year 2020.
