The Kids Will Have Tons of Fun

According to the Mesa County Libraries official Facebook page, outdoor story time offers activities emphasizing five simple practices:

  • reading
  • talking
  • writing
  • singing
  • playing

What You'll Need

It's toasty out there. The National Weather Service says we can expect a high of 105 for tomorrow's (Wednesday, June 16) story time sessions. Hey, that's better than the 107 they originally predicted.

If you like, you can bring:

  • outdoor seating
  • snack
  • water
  • sunscreen
  • hat

Story Time makes learning fun! Story time outdoors doubles the fun! These story times, intended for families with children up to age 5, feature stories, songs, rhymes, and other activities which emphasize five simple practices—reading, talking, writing, singing and playing —that help children learn the skills they need to be ready to read. Feel free to bring outdoor seating and a snack.
