In preparation of Halloween, the Mesa County Libraries will present two different puppet shows for children and their families.

Various branches of the Mesa County Libraries will present the popular puppet show “Barney’s Halloween Party”, while the Central Library will present “Clifford’s Halloween.”

The schedule for “Barney’s Halloween Party” is as follows:

  • 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 17 at the Clifton Branch, 590 32 Road #6F in Clifton (Mesa Pointe Shopping Center)
  • 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 18 at the Collbran Branch, 111 Main Street in Collbran
  • 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 21 at the Orchard Mesa Branch, 230 East Lynwood Street in Grand Junction
  • 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 22 at the Palisade Branch, 119 West 3RD Street in Palisade
  • 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 24 at the Fruita Branch, 324 North Coulson in Fruita
  • 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 24 at the Fruita Branch, 324 North Coulson in Fruita

All showings for “Clifford’s Halloween” will be at the Central Library location, 530 Grand Avenue in Grand Junction. The schedule is as follows:

  • 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 25 after the Bilingual Story Time
  • 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 26
  • 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 29
  • 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 29
  • 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 30
  • 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 31 (after this showing, kids can Trick or Treat in the Central Library, and all kids are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes)
