A gunshot has killed an 11-year-old Mesa County boy. This according to family members.

Saturday (November 12) night, a 911 call reported a shooting at 3060 Sandpiper Road in Pear Park. Mesa County Sheriff's Office has only stated that there had been a person shot at that address and that a person had been taken to the hospital. MSCO also stated that initially it looks like an accidental shooting.

Not a lot of details are known at this time (Sunday, November 13 at 6:19 a.m.), but here is what both KKCO and The Daily Sentinel have reported.

The boy was staying overnight with friends at a house just down the street. Family members stated all of a sudden some of the other kids came running to their house, screaming and yelling that the boy had been shot. The boy's aunt went over to the house to find the boy lying motionless on the front porch.
