Media in Doubt After CNN Anchors are Caught Faking a Satellite Interview

In radio we use theater of mind a lot, but when you're reporting the NEWS the general public expects the truth! That's why folks are up in arms over these CNN anchors pretending they're having a "satellite interview" even though they're in the same parking lot.

I'll be honest I don't know what the big deal is, I've seen our local news stations do this with interviews as well, they give you the impression one anchor is in studio and another at a different location when in fact they are in the same room just different desks.

Do you think this was an attempt to pull one over on the public or just CNN and a couple of anchors making themselves look more official and more credible than they are?
