A sneaky little marmot is back home in the Colorado mountains after hitching a ride on a car from Winter Park to Parker, Colorado.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife posted about the incident on Facebook:

How fitting is this on Marmot Fest - a marmot hitched a ride from Winter Park down to Parker Saturday. Parker Animal Control picked it up from a garage after the individuals discovered it when they got home. Today, we relocated the marmot back to the mountains at Staunton State Park.

Unfortunately, Colorado Parks and Wildlife didn't say exactly how the little guy hitched the ride. (I want the full story!) The good news is, he's back home with one heck of a story to tell his marmot buddies.
