Patriot Day was designated in honor of the 2,977 people that lost their lives during the terrorist attacks in New York City and Washington, D.C. in 2001.

Today the American flag is to be flown at half-staff and Americans are asked to observe a moment of silence beginning at 8:46 am Eastern Time the time the first plane struck the North Tower of the World Trade Center. This is 6:46 our time.

We will be running a special feature prior to this and hope you'll join us.

In remembrance of the attacks a Utah man began attempting to sing Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the USA"  911 times in 48 hours! He started Sunday and hopes to finish the 911th time by 6:46 am Tuesday.

How did/do you spend 911?
