The members of the Desert Flyer Band, still struggling from their experience with a  maple flavored whiskey a few weeks ago, chose to purse a fixture in the adult beverage industry for this week's Desert Flyer Band "Booze in Review."

Maker's Mark began production in Loretto, Kentucky in 1954, and was first bottled in 1958. For years, the Maker's Mark slogan read, "It tastes expensive...and it is." On average, the bourbon is aged from 5.75 to 6.5 years.

Maker's Mark is available in several sizes, with the 750 mL averaging a cost of $27.99.

Following this week's rehearsal, the members of the Desert Flyer Band sat to write their reviews.

"You have a good feeling about this bourbon from the moment you see the bottle sealed with melted wax... And it doesn't disappoint! Wonderfully smooth & mellow with a small bit of a sweet finish. This is good stuff! I don't know that you can do much better! I'm giving it a rating of five out of five dancing banana's!" - Greg Achord lead guitar/vocals

"Makers Mark whiskey is definitely a good choice to keep in mind when buying Kentucky bourbon. It is slightly sweet and finishes well, not too strong nor weak.. The distillery in Kentucky where it's made even has it's own zip code, they're really proud of it.I give it four out of five dancing bananas." - Bob Sours rhythm guitar/vocals
