Maddie & Tae collaborate with Dierks Bentley on a new song titled "Lay Here With Me," which calls for a cease-fire in a romantic relationship that is going through a difficult patch.

The traditional-leaning country ballad juxtaposes the duo's crystalline harmonies against Bentley's gruff vocal character to great effect, backed by a staggering beat and organic instrumentation. Bentley also gets the opportunity to blend his voice with theirs in the chorus, showing off a penchant for harmony that is very different from his solo records.

"Lay here with me / Let down your guard / Let's take off our gloves / And quit making it so hard / 'Cause you don't wanna go / And I don't want you to leave / So why don't you stay, please / Lay here with me," they sing in the chorus.

"Lay Here With Me" is one of the new songs on the duo of Maddie Marlow and Taylor Dye's new EP, Everywhere I'm Goin', which they are releasing on Friday (Oct. 18). The EP follows the April release of another EP, One Heart to Another. That EP featured their recent singles "Friends Don't" and "Die From a Broken Heart." Both EPs form part of an upcoming full-length album.

“We are so excited to keep telling our story through this next collection of songs. We are so proud to have co-written all of these songs as well. This project as a whole is super personal, but these five songs in particular take you on an even deeper dive into our lives," Marlow say in a press release about the EP.

“We were absolutely blown away by the reaction to the first part of the album,” Dye says. “Hearing our fans relate to our stories is something that will never get old. We can’t wait to continue to show more of our hearts and journey through this next chapter of music.”

Maddie & Tae are curently on the road alongside Runaway June as support acts on Carrie Underwood's Cry Pretty Tour 360, which continues through Oct. 31.
