Last Friday morning, Mack and myself participated in a controlled experiment in which we highlighted the dangers and the effects alcohol has on us whether we know it or not. You heard it live on 999 KEKB, now watch the story from KKCO News 11.

From the time we started drinking at 6:45am to the time we stopped at 10am, we were having a great time, but were also very dangerous and very illegal if we were to get in a vehicle in and operate it. We would have both gotten DUI's. And that's not even the worst that could have happened. And if you've ever been to a bar or restaurant celebrating anything or just "having a few" with co-workers after work, you have probably been in the same position we were in.

Dan from the Colorado State Patrol observed us and gave great information and facts regarding alcohol and it's effects. Corey from Citadel Security was also with us to administer the breathalyzers and help with sobriety tests.

Mack and I sincerely hope that the message came through loud and clear- don't drink and drive. It's okay to go out and have a great time with your family and friends, but don't get in your car and drive. Have another way home, find someone SOBER to drive. You may not realize how much you've had to drink until it's too late. And you don't want to take that chance.
