We have seen so much negativity surrounding the Coronavirus and how it has hit the Grand Valley, but there really is a lot of amazing things that are happening. One thing that I wanted to make sure that our friends and neighbors know about is one local food truck stepping up to help feed kids from District 51 while schools are shut down due to COVID-19.

It's 5 M Spuds based out of Fruita who is mostly known for their stuffed baked potatoes, sandwiches, wraps, and more. They have been seen at so many local events like Food Truck Fridays and tons of festivals. But what caught my eye was their post on Facebook about being at Lincoln Orchard Mesa Elementary School from Monday through Friday 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Each kid looking for some food will have the choice of either a hot meal or a cold meal, and they are serving kids 18 and younger.

Thank you 5 M Spuds for stepping up to help kids in this difficult and unusual time. We will get through this together.
