You hear so many parents talking about how they wish their kids would put down the video games and play outside. Well, it's about time to get kids signed up for little league baseball here in Western Colorado.

The Grand Valley's 5 little leagues: Grand Mesa, Orchard Mesa, Palisade, Fruita and Monument are all doing in-person registration for the spring 2020 season on Sunday, February 9th, 2020 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. taking place at Spin City (637 24 1/2 Rd in Grand Junction). Click here to check out their Facebook event page.

Each kid that gets registered will be able to skate, play tag, climb jungle city, or bowl one game for free. If you don't have time to stay and play on registration day passes will be available to come back on a day that is more convenient for your schedule. Just make sure to put this on your calendar now so you don't miss out on the chance to get your kid registered to play ball.

If you're in Delta and wondering about little league registration, the deadline is Sunday, February 9th, 2020 for kids ages 9 to 15. Registration is taking place at the Bill Heddles Recreation Center, and you will need to bring your child's birth certificate at the time of registration. If you're looking for more information on the Delta little league registration click here for their Facebook event page.

I'm a huge fan of playing sports as a kid. It is a great way for kids to make friends at an early age and have fun getting some exercise. Don't miss out on this wonderful opportunity to introduce your kid into something they might truly love.
