My First Trip to Land’s End Observatory Overlooking Grand Junction
I finally had some free time to go exploring over the weekend and I took the opportunity to head up toward the top of the Grand Mesa for the first time.
A sunny day without much widespread wildfire smoke can be hard to come by, so when I saw that bright blue clear sky on Sunday, I knew it was the right day to go up for a visit.
You can see the Colorado National Monument, the Book Cliffs, Mount Garfield, all of Grand Junction, and more from almost anywhere at the observatory.
Visiting Land's End Observatory in Grand Junction
There are a couple of different ways to get up to the observatory during the summer months. We will explain both routes in the gallery below. The drive to the top comes with a spectacular view no matter which route you decide to take.
