Just in Time for Christmas! ‘Grant A Wish’ Program Provides Brighter Christmas & Future for Local Youth
Over 60 children in across the Western Slope will have a merrier Christmas thanks to the donors of our 'Grant A Wish' Program!
Thanks to businesses, City of Grand Junction employees, and listeners just like YOU, over $3,500 has been raised to benefit the youth in our community!
This money will go to provide over 65 children across the Western Slope with life skills programs like:
- Sports Programs
- Dance
- Arial Silk
- Music Lessons
- and More!
Since 2008 this program has funded more than 9,000 in programs for over 150 kids, but this year saw our greatest need EVER with over 60 children nominated for over $3,500 worth of programs!
Thankfully the City of Grand Junction took us on as a charity of choice, their employees ran a coin drive and they were able to donate more than $2,300!
These local business & organizations also sponsored many children:
- Grand Junction & Fruita Parks & Rec Departments
- Absolute Danced
- Mesa County Junior Football Association
- Grand Junction Soccer Club
- Seibu-kan
- Play It Back Sports-a local youth ran nonprofit that provides refurbished sports equipment to kids!
Along with the funds from our Zombie Run and donations from you we'll be able to provide these kids not only with a brighter Christmas but hopefully a brighter future!
Nominations are still coming in and donations are still being accepted. If you can help contact Mack at 683-5662 or the GJPR at 254-FUNN
Thank you for not only helping us give a gift but to "Grant s Wish"!
