Last week we told you about the homecoming of local girl and Fruita Monument High School Graduate Jamie Lee Smith and her movie "Seven Deadly Words." Thanks to you, it was voted "2014 Audience Choice Winner."

The 2014 Grand Junction Film Festival  was held at Colorado Mesa University in the ballroom and was held over 2 days. The festival featured over 50 films, both full length features and shorts.

After the dust settled and all the votes were tallied, the Grand Junction Film Festival 2014 Audience Choice Winner was "Seven Deadly Words." Jamie Lee Smith wore many hats in the making of the movie, she was the Assistant Director, Executive Producer and an actress (she was one of the student film makers in the movie.)

Smith said after winning the award:

This is a great honor and certainly the most meaningful for me. We are blessed and appreciate the love and support! It was a great weekend and there were so many great films shown at the fest! Thank you!

Smith also graduated from Mesa State College (now Colorado Mesa University) and attributes her success and inspiration to her mentors Dr. Casey and Gabrielle Meyer-Hanke both professors at C.M.U.

I saw the movie and I have to admit, I really enjoyed it. If you didn't get a chance to see it, I highly that recommend that you do.
