Steve Miller Announces 2 Colorado Shows for Fall of 2024
Legendary rocker Steve Miller is celebrating the 50th anniversary of "The Joker" being one his biggest hits, and he's coming to Colorado.
One show will be one of the biggest shows to hit the newly renamed Blue Arena in Loveland; while the other will be at the newly opened Sunset Amphitheatre.
Both venues will be filled with thousands of fans signing along to his hits.
Of the 100 biggest songs of 1974, Steve Miller Band's "The Joker" lands at #40. Here we are, 50 years later, and the song is still as loved as it was back then.
Miller's "Greatest Hits 1974-78" album received the RIAA Diamond Award with sales of more than fifteen million copies. It is among the 25 best-selling albums of all time. If you didn't own that album yourself, you knew some who did.
Miller's Parents Were Key to Him Becoming a Rock Star
Steve Miller's parents were jazz aficionados and were close friends of guitar legends Les Paul and Mary Ford. Imagine growing up with them being a part of the family.
Steve Miller Band Played Mile High
Back in 1976, thousands packed Mile High Stadium to see the Steve Miller Band on his "Fly Like an Eagle" tour. That's another massive song; the man has dozens of them, and he's brining them to Colorado in the fall of 2024.
