Major South Fort Collins Intersection Fully Closed This Weekend
The City of Fort Collins has announced a few major, imminent road closures, the first of which will occur this Friday night and last until Sunday night.
The city is hard at work on the Harmony Road Work: Phase 2 project, and will be working constantly over the weekend, day and night to expedite the project in hopes that busier, weekday traffic patterns will not be affected.
Beginning Friday night around 8 PM this Friday, May 9 and lasting until late Sunday night, the intersection at Harmony Road and Lemay Ave will be fully closed to traffic.
You should plan to completely avoid this section of town, as no doubt it's going to be messy. At the very least, you need to know where you're going to end up if you attempt it, so that you can plan ahead to approach from whatever direction you need to in order to end up at your destination if you do need to travel to this area of town.
REMEMBER WHEN: It's Always 74 Degrees at Harmony and Lemay in Fort Collins
Westbound traffic on Harmony will be diverted onto South Timberline Road, well before Lemay.
Eastbound traffic on Harmony will detour onto South College Ave., again, well before Lemay.
Southbound traffic on Lemay will be detoured onto East Horsetooth Road.

Last but not least, northbound traffic on Lemay will be diverted onto East Trilby Road.
As you can see, these detours occur well before you even get close to the intersection, so planning ahead will be crucial to getting anywhere near the area over the weekend. The city says access to businesses will be maintained during the work, but you may need to be patient in order to actually get there.
