According to one of our sister stations in Louisiana, Hurricane Issac has people stranded on roof tops & in their attics!

One man actually called the local TV station WWL in an attempt to get help for his family after he and his wife took shelter with their infant in their attic as the storm rages outside!

The facts:

  • Hurricane Isaac remains a hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 75 mph.
  • As much as 20” of rain could fall in parts of the region.
  • Plaquemines Parish, La. is reporting flooding between 5 and 14 feet high.
  • The center of the storm is about 40 miles from New Orleans, but the storm is only moving at 6 mph.
  • More than 500,000 without power in the Gulf region.

We'll keep you updated as more news becomes available. The hearts & prayers of our staff go out to the people effected by this storm.

On a lighter note an 8 year old girl evacuating, left good instructions for her stuffed animal friends & how they should behave during the Hurricane. Check em out!
