The concept of "Inbound Traffic Does Not Stop" is difficult for some drivers to wrap their brain around at the entrances to the Mesa Mall in Grand Junction. The design for the traffic flow works if all drivers are aware of it and opt to observe it. How many times have you come close to getting tanked while trying to drive into the mall parking lot?

The way the mall was designed requires that incoming traffic stay in motion, and the traffic making the perimeter or exiting the Mall stop at the intersections. While this works, some motorists are unaware of how traffic is directed. The result: sometimes you get drivers stopping where there is no stop sign, and in other cases, motorists fail to stop at the designated places.

From time to time you'll see someone blow the stop sign, creating a dangerous situation for incoming vehicles.
