Hear Home Free’s Take on Restless Heart’s ‘Why Does It Have to Be (Wrong or Right)’
Home Free's cover of Restless Heart's "Why Does It Have To Be (Wrong Or Right)" is just, well, very right.
The video is set in a Nashville warehouse, lit by neon lights and an abandoned feel, but it won't leave you empty. Tenor Rob Lundquist leads the quintet as they dive deep into the song.
"Restless Heart broke boundaries with this song, not only being a bit controversial with the content, but by adding the pop genre in a market that was straight country at the time. It was a rule breaker – but aren’t those the best kinds of songs?" the group's Tim Foust says in a press release. "We also admire Restless Heart for their incredible harmonies, so we wanted to make sure we stepped up our own. I swear I’ve had this song stuck in my head since the ‘80s, and we’re all just huge fans."
Home Free will be releasing new music this spring, including more original music on their upcoming fifth studio album. Fans can expect details on the project to come soon.
The group is currently on the road during the final run of their Timeless World Tour. They will also be performing at the sold-out CMC Rocks Festival in Australia, before picking back up on their tour schedule in the States. The Timeless World Tour traveled across more fourteen countries with over 140 tour dates — it ends on May 11 at the Saenger Theatre in Mobile, Ala.
