Hollywood has a unique talent for taking super hero movies and making them unrecognizable. When it comes to super hero films, more often than not, the studios can screw up a cup of coffee. There are obvious exception, the 1978 "Superman," the first "Iron Man," "The Avengers," and a handful of others. It would be acceptable, though, for Hollywood to make a "Wonder Woman" movie, but only if they cast it right. Either they cast Morena Baccarin in the title role, or no deal.

Obviously, I have no say in the matter. However, if they make a Wonder Woman movie and Morena isn't in it, I'm not going. If they do and cast Morena as Wonder Woman, I'll not only go see it, I'll by unlimited tickets and move into the theater.

Most superhero films have fallen victim to implausible casting choices. Michael Keaton as Batman? Is there anyone out there who would intimidated by Michael Keaton? Oddly, he came off as being the best of the Batmans. Ryan Reynolds was born to play Green Lantern. Too bad the movie's script was unsalvageable.

Hollywood's only nailed it a couple of times: Christopher Reeve as Superman, Robert Downey Jr. as Ironman, and, hopefully, someday, Morenna Baccarin as Wonder Woman.

Morena graced our TV screens for an amazing 11 episodes of Firefly, including a few more that never aired but came out of DVD. Since then, we've been further blessed with "V"  and a handful of movies. Somewhere in the middle were some made-for-TV movies like "Sands of Oblivion" which we are willing to forgive her for.
