Have you noticed the unique American flag flying high right now over the Museum of the West? Do you notice anything "different" about it? It will only be there for a limited time, so please take a look.

The flag flying over the Museum of the West and Loyd Files Research Library is a 15 stars and 15 stripes American Flag. In honor of Flag Day, the museum is flying what served as the official United States flag from 1794 to 1818.

This version of the flag is the same as what would have flown over Fort McHenry in 1814 when Francis Scott Key wrote "The Star-Spangled Banner."

The flag was donated courtesy of Garry Brewer.

Flag day is coming up this Wednesday, June 14. The next time you drive through downtown, take a moment to look up. This flag will fly above the museum for a limited time. Don't miss the chance to see it.
