Hilarious Greeley 9-1-1 Calls
the emergency line is, well, for emergencies. Sometimes what one person would consider an emergency, others would not. A cop log gets published every so often that shed a little light on the type of calls that 9-1-1 operators and police officers respond to. These are the three "best" calls out of Greeley.
Child Abuse Call
May 29th officers responded to a report of child abuse at a Greeley home. When officers arrived, they learned that a 15-year-old boy who made the call was being made to do yard work by his stepfather.
Trapped Duck
May 30th officers responded to the 2700 block of 20th Street to a report of a resident that stated they caught a duck in a trap. When officers arrived, they found a trapped skunk, not a duck. The resident was instructed to contact Colorado Parks and Wildlife.
And now for my favorite call...
BLAH BLAH Belly
May 29th police responded to a call of a woman in a laundromat that took off all of her clothes and scared customers by speaking to them with her stomach.
Some things you just can't make up. Now if you will excuse me, I am going to go practice ventriloquism with my belly button.
