Here’s Your Chance to Insure Western Colorado Families Have Food on the Table
This season spread the holiday cheer and help ensure every family in Western Colorado has food on the table. The crew here at the station will be hitting the streets to raise food and cash donations for the Community Food Bank of Grand Junction.
According to the Community Food Bank, "Our mission is to provide nutritious food to individuals and families in crisis." Donations stay local, going to families right here in the valley.
Carville's Auto Mart has stepped up to the plate to ensure the food bank is well stocked for the winter. When you donate food or cash at one of our on-site donation stops, Carville's will match your cash donations, up to $1,000.
Think about that for a moment. The Community Food Bank can purchase up to four pounds of food with each dollar. Carville's will match your cash donations dollar for dollar. So, if you donate one dollar to our food drive, with Carville's match, the food bank can purchase eight pounds of food. Since they buy in bulk, the Community Food Bank gets incredible deals. Think how far your donation could go.

This is your chance to help your hard-working friends and neighbors in Western Colorado through some tough times. We'll be out and about a few more times before Christmas. As a matter of fact, our jocks will be out this weekend. Here are the next to stops:
- Saturday, November 17 - 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Safeway on Broadway
- Saturday, December 8 - 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Safeway on Patterson
Please note - your donations stay local! That's right, everything you donate stays right here in Western Colorado. As a matter of fact, crews shuttle the donations during out food stops. In other words, when you donate food items during one of our stops, that food is transported immediately to the Community Food Bank, where it is sorted, and distributed as early as the next day.
Be a part of this annual tradition. Let's make sure every hard-working family in Western Colorado has food on the table this holiday season.
