District 51 is conducting a survey to learn more about the public's perception of their performance. If you are a District 51 parent, student, staff, or community member, you are asked to participate in the short survey.

The survey launched a week ago, and will conclude at 4 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2019. It consists of 15 questions. Some of the questions include:

  • District 51's overall performance during the 2018-19 school year.
  • The overall performance of District 51 school staff (including teachers, principals, etc.) during the 2018-19 school year.
  • The calendar for 2019-20, which will include later start times, moving Early Release to Fridays, and fewer broken weeks.
  • The condition of school buildings in District 51.

You are asked to score each question on a scale of one to five stars, with five being the best. In addition, there are a handful of multiple-choice questions. There's even a section for comments.

I'm one of the few people I know who doesn't have children. Nevertheless, I was interested in participating in the survey. Start to finish, the survey took me less than two minutes to complete.

What happens when the results are collected? According to District 51's webpage, "The goal of the survey is to learn more about public opinion of the district and better serve our learners in the years to come."
