This is great news as a degree usually costs thousands of dollars, but if you are attending one of the seven schools in Colorado that offer a free associate's degree you will be saving money instead.

Central High School will soon be one of seven Colorado high schools offering the chance at a free associate degree. If students want to have a career in science, engineering or math they will be able to.

Starting in the fall, Central High School students enrolled in the science, technology, engineering, and math program will be able to work toward a free associate degree in mechanical engineering technology, machining or welding at Western Colorado Community College.

Students can apply now, and it will start next school year.
