Jobs are available in the Grand Valley and springtime is the perfect time for a fresh start.

The Mesa County Workforce Center and Colorado Mesa University are teaming up to host the Grand Valley Career and Job Fair on April 8. The event is being held outside Mesa Mall in JC Penny's south parking lot.

What Happens At This Event?

Employers that are looking to hire full-time and part-time employees will be at this event to offer information about available jobs, talk with prospective employees, and to accept resumes and applications.

Special Time For Veterans

While the Grand Valley Career and Job Fair is open to the general public, veterans will receive exclusive access from 9:30am to 10:00am.

General Public Is Welcome

The job fair will be open to the general public from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Anyone interested is welcome to stop by and see what jobs are currently available. My advice to job seekers would be to put yourself in the best light by presenting yourself in a professional manner, well-groomed, and neatly dressed.

Bonus Attractions

Of course, employers will be on hand, but that's not all. There will also be music, food trucks, prizes, and an area where you can get professional headshots taken.

Expect COVID Guidelines

Precautions have been taken to make the event as safe as possible. Employers will be spread out, masks will be expected, and there will be an entrance and an exit to the job fair area.

If you have questions about the event you can contact the Mesa County Workforce Center at 970-248-7560 or Colorado Mesa University Career Services at 970-248-1404.
