Grand Junction’s Favorite Shows at Las Colonias Amphitheater
Since its inception, the amphitheater at Las Colonias Park, affectionately known as "Las Colonias Amphitheater" or simply, "The AMP," has brought top-notch music, comedy acts, and other performances to Grand Junction time and time again.
Curious, I posted a question on Facebook asking which concert or concerts you've attended at Las Colonias Amphitheater were your favorite and received all kinds of responses.
Rock Shows at Las Colonias Amphitheater
One thing that Las Colonias Amphitheater has consistently done well is bring great rock shows to Grand Junction. Because of this, many of the responses to my question were reminiscing about past rock concerts at The AMP.
Some of the more classic artists mentioned include bands like Foreigner, Led Zeppelin tribute 'Get the Led Out,' and Starship.
In addition, a number of more modern rock artists' performances were also listed as favorites including Sublime with Rome, The Dirty Heads, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Nightsweats, Skillet, and The Wallflowers.
Country Shows at Las Colonias Amphitheater
While rock was the clear winner here, a number of country concerts were also listed as favorite experiences at Las Colonias Amphitheater. Some of these shows included concerts by country artists such as Lee Brice, Sawyer Brown, and Luke Nelson.
Future Shows at Las Colonias Amphitheater
While many of the responses came from people who had previously seen shows at Las Colonias Amphitheater, some were the most excited about future concerts at The AMP. Some of these types of shows included upcoming performances from artists like ZZ Top (June 14th) and Halestorm and The Pretty Reckless (August 7th.)
